Farmers' Market at Mill Park
Capital Riverfront Improvement District (CRID)
The CRID board, working with the City of Augusta, helped establish a farmers' market at Mill Park. The market opened May 1, 2007, and currently boasts many Maine vendors open for business every Tuesday from May through November. The market sits in an open-air pavilion made possible through a grant from the USD
A.
Patrons are able to purchase a wide selection of fresh, high quality vegetables, meat, dairy products, and other Maine farm raised products. The success of this market led to the establishment of similar markets down river in Hallowell and Gardiner.
