1. Assist property owners in selecting tenants who will add diversity to upper floors of downtown buildings
2. Update and improve signage
3. Continue barrel planting and other beautification programs

 

Organization Priorities

1. Continue outreach for volunteers and training
2. Coordinate efforts with local civic groups
3. Institute on-going merchant training to ensure customer satisfaction

 

Promotion and Marketing Priorities

1. Develop a winter festival
2. Develop a Saco Sidewalk Art festival
3. Develop summer outdoor series for families
4. Quarterly meetings for merchants

 

Economic Restructuring Priorities

1. Maintain a diversity of businesses and continue efforts to fill in Saco Island
2. Develop loan program with BSAEDC
3. Promote downtown housing improvements and construction
