2010 Downtown Achievement Awards - Call for Nominations!
The Maine Downtown Center is seeking nominations for its 2010 Downtown Achievement Awards.

The Downtown Achievement Awards are given each to honor the many downtowns and volunteers throughout the state who are truly making a difference in their community. Without these dedicated individuals and groups their downtowns would not be where they are today!
The following award catagories are open to all communities:
- Downtown Visionary
- Best Volunteer Recruitment/Recognition Effort
- Outstanding Public/Private Partnership
- Outstanding Special or Retail Event
- Outstanding Window Display
- Outstanding Image Campaign
- Outstanding Façade Project
- Outstanding Historic Preservation Project
- Outstanding Business Retention, Expansion or Recruitment Project/Program
- Outstanding Smart Growth Project
- Outstanding Public Official or Employee
- Community Spirit Award
The following award catagories are only open to Main Street Maine communities:
- Volunteer of the Year
- Board Member of the Year
- Outstanding Main Street Maine Community
The following award catagory is only open to Maine Downtown Network communities:
- Outstanding Maine Downtown Network Community
The deadline for nominations is Friday, April 16th at Noon and will be strictly enforced.
