The Maine Downtown Network (MDN) program provides a range of services and assistance to meet a variety of community commitment and readiness levels.  MDN is for communities just starting a downtown revitalization effort and/or those hoping to achieve Main Street Maine status. 

Due to program funding limitations, this is a competitive process.  The Maine Downtown Center expects to add a maximum of five Maine Downtown Network communities in 2010.

Two Priorities For 2010 Applications

• Communities who have demonstrated an interest in learning how to apply the Main Street Four-Point Approach are invited apply. Specifically, this includes attendance at Maine Downtown Conference and Downtown Institute sessions.
• Communities ready to revitalize their downtown the following five counties will receive priority scoring:  Cumberland, Lincoln, Piscataquis, Waldo and Washington.  This priority will help accomplish our goal of reaching every county in Maine and growing the Network.
