Next Step Maine Scholarship Application Period Open
Accepting Applications for "Employees of Promise" until 4 p.m. on April 14, 2014
March 1st, 2014 - April 14th, 2014
About The Scholarship Fund: There are up to 20 $1,000-$2,500 scholarship awards available in 2014. The goal of the scholarship fund is to support and recognize working adults who are going to school while juggling jobs, families, and other responsibilities. These scholarships will be given to employees who are engaged in taking the next step in their education, who are pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree or industry certification, and who are considered promising contributors to the companies or organizations for whom they work. Scholarship applications must be submitted by employers, who can ‘nominate' eligible employees, and a personal statement by the nominee is also required.
You Must Be An MEI Employer: Before you nominate your employee, you must be a member of the Maine Employers’ Initiative. If you are not sure, please check the list here: http://www.mdf.org/mei_employers.php. If you are not a member, it is easy to join. Go here to complete the survey and commitment letter: http://www.mdf.org/mei_signup.php
