The performance measures in Measures of Growth serve as indicators of progress. They illustrate trends that Maine has experienced in the past and facilitate planning for the future. For each performance measure, the Growth Council has set benchmarks to help create specific plans of action.

The Maine Economic Growth Council encourages your organization to Adopt-a-Benchmark from Measures of Growth. This program was created to strengthen existing relationships with those organizations, agencies, and businesses that play an active role in achieving the benchmarks established by the Growth Council. This is a way for your organization to be recognized for the work you are doing in promoting Maine's long-term economic growth.
