So frequently, we're bombarded with messages about all that is wrong with Maine and these are particularly difficult economic times so it is easy to get caught up in the pessimism. As I look around Maine, however, I see so much opportunity. I see a longstanding ethic of perseverance, a "can do" attitude, a spirit of innovation and a hope in Maine's future that can not be destroyed by any particular event or series of events - no matter how daunting.
