Former State Economist and current President of the Maine Development Foundation, Laurie Lachance, who has been analyzing and forecasting Maine's economic performance for 25 years, shares her perspective on the economic face of aging in Maine. She will describe how and why Maine's population is aging; outline some of the major economic and public policy issues that arise from these aging patterns; and wrap up with some ideas on actions we can take to mute the disruptions and seize the opportunities that this major demographic shift presents.
