30th Anniversary Alumni Celebration

Location: Ferry Beach Retreat & Conference Center, 5 Boardwalk Dr, Saco

Join us for an afternoon of activities and workshops aimed at re-invigorating those skills learned during your time in the programs. This includes Outward Bound-style activities (no ropes or rock climbing!) and facilitated workshops. We will culminate the day with a dinnertime banquet and celebration.

Cultural and Historic Preservation Webinar

What are you doing in your community to preserve your downtown, historic buildings, landscapes and the culture of your community? Join us for this quick learning opportunity to gain some practical tips and ideas for doing this work. MDC Advisory Council will be sharing the Preservation Tool Kit which they developed over the last year. If you are a Main Street this tool kit can help you meet Standard V of the National Main Street Accreditation Standards, however, the content is relevant to any community working on historic preservation.

Leadership in Action Breakfast: Projects of Passion – Volunteering & Mentoring in Community

Location: Martin's Point Health Care Center, 114 Bath Road, Brunswick

7:30 – 10:00 a.m. A panel of Alums & volunteer organizations will share their passion for volunteering and mentoring, and the impact it has in their communities, on younger generations, and in their own lives. We will then hold space for alumni who lead these efforts around the state to meet in small groups & one-on-one with Alums interested in becoming volunteers and/or mentors.

Leadership in Action Breakfast: Leading Emerging Sectors

Location: TBD

7:30 - 10 a.m. We will hear from trailblazers in emerging sectors like the Maine Space program, artificial intelligence (AI), green businesses/products, blue (ocean) economy, and the forest economy. We will then do breakout sessions in smaller groups to take deeper dives into how you can engage in these growing sectors, and apply the approaches these leaders are using.
